Chapter: 1969
"Isaac..." She attempted to kick him with her foot.
Isaac swiftly caught her delicate ankle. “You're still able to kick me? Ah, it appears I need to put in more effort next time."
“When did you start becoming such a joker?" Camila snuggled into the blanket. "I need to rest."
"Very well, rest." Isaac whispered, pressing a kiss on her foot before covering it gently with the blanket. "Sleep now; I'm going to freshen up.”
Camila mumbled quietly.
Alick returned from his trip to Faymoor.
His productivity had increased.
His demeanor also appeared slightly brighter.
Several hours ago, Forrest was engaged in business discussions at a restaurant.
He observed Alick dining alone in the restaurant.
He noticed Alick glancing at his phone, occasionally breaking into a smile.
After the business discussion concluded, Forrest approached Alick.
Alick was engrossed in his phone and seemed to be chatting with someone.
Quietly approaching, Forrest stood behind him and glanced at the phone screen.
He observed Alick's swift typing on his phone.
The text “I miss you" appeared in the message send bar.
Without hesitation, Alick pressed send.
Soon after, a response swiftly appeared.
"I miss you too."
"That's so cheesy," Forrest couldn't resist commenting.
