Chapter: 1970
Quickly, Alick stowed his phone, turned around, and met Forrest's teasing gaze.

Alick felt so embarrassed.

Damn!

“Are you spying on me?"

Forrest clicked his tongue disapprovingly. "You accuse me of spying on you, yet you have a guilty conscience yourself. Frankly, you're the one behaving like a lecher."

Alick scoffed, retorting, "What I do with my woman is none of your concern. I'll say whatever I please. You are just jealous of me."

“Jealous of you?" Forrest scoffed, taking a seat opposite Alick.

“You're shameless, openly flirting with someone in public.”

Alick stared at him, then muttered, "I believe you're just so envious of me. Why else would you be so fixated on my affairs?"

Forrest grinned. "Can you really see that?"

Alick was at a loss for words.

“Forget it," he muttered in frustration.

Forrest smiled.

Alick stood up and asked, "Are you here to eat?"

"Do you come to the restaurant to eat or just to shower?" Forrest teased.

Alick sighed in defeat.

"Let's go together. I came here to meet someone, and my business is concluded," Forrest replied earnestly.

Alick glanced at Forrest, noting, "You've been swamped lately."

Forrest didn't dispute it; his schedule was indeed packed.

He had plenty of tasks on his plate at the moment, leaving Little room for anything else.
