Chapter: 1973
Isaac, his brow furrowed, remained silent.
“How did they come to be here?" Camila inquired, crouching down.
A strong smell of alcohol filled her nostrils.
She also frowned and expressed concern, “Have they been drinking?"
"Likely," Isaac directed the driver and Eagle, "Bring them inside the house."
After the driver recovered, he was tasked with driving Glenda.
With two children awaiting her at home, Glenda often needed to venture out for shopping.
Camila instructed Glenda, “Prepare some hangover soup for them; they seem to have imbibed quite a bit."
Both were completely unconscious.
Glenda assured, "Feel free to go out; I'll place them in the guest room and attend to them."
Camila signaled to Isaac, “Let's depart.”
"Understood."
Isaac took the lead in driving away.
Eagle trailed behind.
Noticing they weren't on the route to the hospital, Camila intervened, “You're going the incorrect way; you should turn up ahead."
Isaac responded, “I'm guiding you to the research institute."
Camila hesitated.
“I didn't say I would go there."
She began, only to be interrupted by Isaac. “Then we will proceed to my office."
"I won't be settled until I verify it myself." Camila insisted on her need for a hospital visit.
