Chapter: 1983
This wasn't even the bed section.
They could play it off as just browsing for furniture.
Alas!
Laura had never felt so awkward.
Exiting the furniture mall, Colin looked like he was heading out too and was tailing them.
Morrison said in a hushed tone, "Let him go first. Don't head to the car."
Laura nodded in agreement.
They strolled the opposite way.
Colin still had this nagging feeling that the guy resembled Morrison.
But nah, it couldn't be, surely?
He didn't even glance back when he called him Mr. Armstrong.
Deciding he might've goofed up, Colin walked off.
When it seemed he had gone, Morrison let out a sigh of relief.
Laura, eyeing his relieved expression, couldn't hold back a chuckle.
“What's so funny?" Morrison quizzed.
She composed herself, replying, "Oh, nothing."
After a bit, he suggested, "Let's head back."
When they returned to their car, Colin popped up from nowhere, eyeing Morrison. "Mr. Armstrong, was that you?"
Morrison raised a brow. "Where did you come from?"
“I was buying a bookshelf. I thought I saw you and I called out but I got snubbed so I thought I was wrong. Then I spotted your car and figured you were here too, so I waited," Colin explained.
