Chapter: 2017
“Because you are good at acting. You can see how well you act,”
Alick gloated.
Willie was speechless as he looked at Alick.
"Fuck! You're so disgusting, so is this chicken blood! Eww!"
Alick continued, "Getting that fresh chicken blood was tough. Did you see how the cops reacted when they saw you? They thought you were a goner."
"You're telling me! If I'd known I'd have to deal with this kind of mess right after getting back, I would've stayed away," Willie retorted.
He then headed off to take a shower. The ward had its own shower, thankfully, because he couldn't stand his own stench any longer.
Alick just smiled, turned, and stepped out. After a bit, he came back holding a document.
Fresh out of the shower and drying his hair, Willie looked at Alick and asked, "What's that you've got?"
"Here, take a look. It's your medical record," Alick said as he handed it over.
Willie took the record, a sense of dread creeping in. “Why do I get the feeling something bad's about to happen?"
“Relax, you're actually in for some smooth sailing these next few days," Alick assured him, sitting down on the bed, crossing his legs.
Willie opened the medical record with a sense of foreboding.
He had a rib fracture, kidney bleeding, cartilage damage, a sprained ankle, and others.
He frowned and asked, "Aren't these just cursing me?"
Seeing those words made Willie uncomfortable.
"If you aren't badly injured, how can they arrest Tyrese?" Alick stood, approached Willie, and gently patted him on the shoulder. “I'm sorry you have to stay here for a bit. Once this is all behind us, I'll throw a huge party to thank you," he said.
Willie didn't know what to say.
Alick went on, "Also, make sure you don't leave the hospital during this time. Just stay in your room and don't worry about anything else. I'll handle it."
Willie nodded. "Got it. I understand."
