Chapter: 2036
While Camila wondered who he might have brought, she saw Travis being dragged out of the car, his body covered in blood and bruises. She couldn't guess what Alick had used to beat him.
His skin was ripped open!
Being a doctor, Camila had seen plenty of bloody scenes.
Yet, it was uncommon to witness someone in as dire a state as Travis.
Alick ran his fingers through his hair. "I guess I lost my temper."
Camila glanced over at Travis and then averted her gaze, remarking, "He had it coming. Someone like that doesn't deserve any better!"
Alick smirked. “Exactly.”
"Continue with your tasks. I need to go," Camila stated.
She climbed into her car, rolled down the window, and looked at Alick. "Will you let him live?"
Alick mentioned that he wanted him to die immediately.
Yet, if he simply died like that, wouldn't it be too lenient?
“I heard many patients in this hospital need type B blood, and he has it. I'll draw some from him."
Initially, Camila believed Alick was concerned he might die, so he brought him here for treatment, to later continue his torment.
Alick's personality reminded her of Isaac's. Both detested the wicked.
They showed no mercy when dealing with villains.
"A person like him can still benefit others with his blood. That's the only worth he holds now," Camila stated bluntly. Her gaze softened as she looked at Alick and, smiling, she asked, "I heard you and Annis reconciled. Is that true? When did that happen? How come I wasn't informed?"
Alick grinned and replied, "Not really. Back then, we'd been in love not so long and then were thinking about marriage. So we didn't fully experience love. Now, we'll use this chance to spend more time together in love."
"That sounds nice," Camila responded cheerfully.
She waved and added, “I'm off then."
She returned to the research institute.
