She shifted the topic. “So, do you want to grab some food? It's on me. You've been gone a while, and let's have something good."

Laura paused to think and then said, “I could really go for some strawberry cake."

Camila blinked in surprise.

Where wouldn't they find strawberry cake?

“Just cake?" she asked.

"Why not?" Laura replied with a smile.

Camila said they'd eat dinner first.

She took them out for dinner and then bought the cake Laura wanted.

After that, Laura asked when they could visit the morgue.

Isaac had set everything up at the hospital, so they could go anytime.

But since Laura had just arrived and she was pregnant, Camila figured she must be tired. She suggested they rest first, but Laura was eager to help Camila and then get back.

She gathered her team and they headed to the hospital.
