As soon as the elevator doors opened, a chill hit them.

Morrison and Laura were used to places like this, so they stayed cool.

But Camila was a bit jittery.

She was worried that if Kameron really died from the surgery or the implanted heart, she would be unable to face the consequences or to take the pricks of conscience.

Isaac waited in the hallway.

When Camila walked up, he squeezed her hand and said, "Relax, you'll be fine."

Camila raised an eyebrow at him. "Do I look that tense?"

She'd been trying to play it cool.

Alick slid Kameron's body out of the drawer, and Laura and Morrison stepped up to examine it.

Camila was about to follow but Isaac held her back, saying, "Don't go over there."

“Why not?" she asked, puzzled.

Isaac explained, "It'll just bring more trouble."

He wasn't superstitious but he had a bad feeling about the whole situation. He didn't want Camila to be around the body.

Camila was at a loss for words.

How would she cause any problems?

She might not be a full-on forensic expert but she knew a thing or two.

Morrison came up and asked, "Can I dig into it?"

There wasn't much to see from the outside. To get any real information, they'd have to go deeper.

"No," Camila replied.

Morrison was stuck. “We might not find anything useful."
