Chapter: 2064
She hit the ground hard, shaking and too scared to say a word.
Alick pointed to her and said, “We have got the culprit. This is the one."
The nurse lifted her head, her eyes wide.
There was a crowd of people staring at her.
She was so terrified she crumpled to the ground, unable to even scream.
"I really don't know anything. Please let me go!" The nurse pleaded, kneeling on the ground.
"She is stubborn and won't say anything," Alick declared.
Isaac looked at the nurse with disdain and sneered. "Stubborn? I can't believe someone could be that stubborn. If he managed it, then our approach must be flawed."
"Yes, I'll get her to talk within ten minutes," Alick replied confidently.
He waved his hand dismissively. "Help..."
“I'll tell you," the nurse blurted out, realizing the gravity of her situation.
If she remained silent, her situation would worsen.
After graduating, she had started as an intern at the hospital and eventually became a nurse. She hadn't faced any hardships during her tenure, which made her ill-prepared for any physical duress.
Even if she didn't reveal anything now, after being tormented, she would eventually say it. So, she didn't want to suffer unnecessarily.
"Go on!" Alick urged, squatting down to meet her gaze. "You're smart. Delay any further, and you'll truly suffer."
Cowering, the nurse confessed, "Someone paid me to deliver a glass of water to that patient."
"Who was it?" he pressed.
"I don't know him," she admitted, her voice trembling. "He was a stranger. He offered me three hundred thousand just to hand over the water."
Alick then showed her photos of several managers from the Sun Pharmaceutical Group. “Did any of these people bribe you?"
She scanned the images and shook her head, "No, none of them.”
