Chapter: 2073
Isaac had indeed suspected there was more to the bag.
His mind had spiraled into overthinking, fueled by Camila's unusual behavior that day.
Camila wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her face against his chest. "I didn't expect you to be so childish. Today, I'm on my period, which might explain why I'm not in the best mood. Don't read too much into it."
Nodding, Isaac realized he had let his imagination run wild.
“Head home and get some rest," he advised, giving her back a gentle pat. “I've got a few things to take care of, but I'll be back to keep you company soon."
Camila held him close, pressing kisses to his neck and Adam's apple.
“I want you to drive me home," she murmured.
Isaac couldn't help but smile helplessly and happily in response to Camila's request. "Alright," he agreed.
Camila returned his smile, enveloping him in a tight hug, heedless of any potential gossip or their current location in the company.
She seemed unusually affectionate that day.
This behavior was out of character for her, catching Isaac by surprise.
Curious about her sudden change in behavior, Isaac teased her gently.
“Aren't you worried that people in the company might think you've won me over solely with your beauty?"
Camila shrugged, her demeanor nonchalant. "I was embarrassed enough the last time I was here. What do I have to fear now?"
Isaac wrapped his arm around her shoulders, offering reassurance. "If you're not worried, then I have nothing to fear either," he declared with a smile.
Camila's smile widened, and together they exited the office.
“Good afternoon, Mr. Johnston."
Isaac acknowledged with a slight nod as they passed by the staff.
Camila had visited once before, and her presence was unmistakable to everyone.
Last time, her close connection with Isaac had left a lasting impression, so her return didn't surprise anyone.
