Laura made a face. "How about curry rice tonight? Just slightly spicy is okay."
Morrison was at a loss for words.
"Your due date is coming up. This might be your last chance," he said.
“Okay, just this once." Laura nodded.
Afterwards, they had a simple breakfast. Then Laura arranged to meet Camila.
She got dressed and headed out.
Stepping out of the elevator, she found Forrest waiting in the hotel corridor.
It didn't feel like a coincidence.
But Forrest smiled. “What a coincidence meeting you here."
With Morrison's hand in hers, Laura forced a smile in return. "Yeah."
She knew it wasn't a coincidence, but she kept quiet about it.
She refused to let him get to her anymore. Serenely, she asked, “Heading to meet Mila. Want to tag along?"
Forrest seemed taken aback by the offer.
He nodded. “Am I imposing?"
Laura replied, "You wouldn't be here if you thought so, right? By the way, breakfast was delicious, and my husband loved it too. If you're free, feel free to send it again tomorrow."
With that, she took Morrison's hand and walked away.
Forrest stood there, stunned.
Forrest decided not to join them.
