“Are you not going to the office today?" she inquired, surprised by his presence.

“I'll wait for you," Isaac reiterated.

Camila was momentarily taken aback.

Had she promised to accompany him to work?

Why would she do that?

Gathering her thoughts, she shook her head and replied, "No, I'll stay home with Joe."

Isaac regarded her with a questioning glance. “Are you sure?" he asked.

Feeling somewhat resigned, Camila simply nodded in response.

As soon as Camila looked into Isaac's eyes, she glanced away with a guilty conscience.

Did she say something to him last night when she was drunk?

Did he know something he wasn't supposed to know?

If not, why did he seem threatening?

She thought about it carefully. It seemed she had never done anything to make him angry.

Anyway, she decided to give in first.

“I'll go with you," she said with a smile.

“Let's go!" Isaac responded, looking at her.

He walked out first, and Camila followed.

They both got into the car.

“Did I do something to upset you when I was drunk yesterday?" Camila asked in a low voice as Isaac started driving.

"No," Isaac replied straightforwardly.
