Hearing this, Camila breathed a sigh of relief.

She thought she had pissed him off.

"Then why did you ask me to go to the office with you? I don't know anything about your work, so I can't help you," she said, looking confused.

“Just stay with me," Isaac whispered in her ear. “Do you know what you did to me last night?"

Camila's eyes widened.

Had she done something to upset him?

But how?

“Nonsense! How could I do anything to you?" Camila asked.

"You seduced me, knowing I wouldn't do anything since you were on your period. I didn't sleep well all night, so I'm punishing you by making you come to work with me," Isaac responded casually.

Camila sighed, feeling helpless. "So that's the reason."

"What else did you think it was about?" Isaac asked after a moment of silence.

He looked at her curiously.

"Nothing," Camila said, shaking her head.

“Really? Why do I always feel like you're hiding something from me?"

Isaac asked, sounding a bit frustrated.

"How can I lie to you? Even if I wanted to hide something from you, I couldn't." Camila shook her head.

Isaac didn't respond.

They reached their destination after a few minutes.

Camila followed Isaac out of the car.

"Miss Haynes!" a voice called out from a distance.
