Camila looked up and saw Hyman quickly coming over to greet them.

A couple walked closely behind him.

Camila's heart skipped a beat.

“Why are they here?" she asked Hyman in a hushed tone.

She didn't want to overthink it.

However, she had to ask.

After what happened to Kameron, Camila was afraid of being approached by patients’ families.

"Isn't the patient recovering well after the surgery? Is there anything wrong?" she asked again, a bit louder this time.

"No!" The patient's mother came up and grabbed Camila's hands. "We're here to thank you. We went to the research institute but couldn't find you, so this young man brought us here. He said you were here."

Camila looked at Hyman with a warning glare.

The institute's affairs should not implicate the company.

"I had to help them since they wanted to find you. I knew where you were. I couldn't hide it from them," Hyman explained.

"You could have called me. I can go back to the research institute,"

Camila said indifferently.

“Are we disturbing you?" the patient's mother asked.

She looked apologetic.

“No, no," Camila quickly denied.

“Hey." The patient's mother turned around and waved at her husband, who was still catching up to them.

He came over, and she took a bouquet from his arms.

"We wanted to thank you, but our child is sick, and we've spent all our savings," the woman said, handing the bouquet to Camila. "We could only bring these flowers to express our gratitude."
