Chapter: 2161
They knew what to do.
When she entered the office, Camila asked, "Am I just sitting here doing nothing while you work?"
"Could you make me a cup of coffee?" Taking off his suit, he looked up. Camila took it from him and said, "Sure."
She hung the clothes and went to make coffee.
Opening the door, she was surprised to see the receptionist standing there.
She was surprised.
"Mrs. Johnston," the receptionist addressed her with an apologetic expression.
Camila raised an eyebrow inquisitively. "What's the matter?" she inquired, giving a nod of acknowledgment. "If it's important, please come in and tell me."
However, the receptionist shook her head.
Sensing her unease, Camila pressed further. "Which room is available? I'm not familiar with this area."
With a hesitant glance, the receptionist gestured towards the stairway.
Camila followed her, and once they were alone, the receptionist spoke up. "I made a mistake."
Camila's brow furrowed in confusion. “If it's a work-related mistake, you should inform your supervisor, not me. I won't interfere in company matters," she asserted.
But the receptionist shook her head adamantly. “It's not about work."
Curiosity piqued, Camila inquired, "Then what is it?"
The receptionist hesitated before revealing, “Earlier, someone sent you a bouquet, and I recorded a video of it and shared it in the chat group. However, they accused you of putting on a show. I believe I made a mistake, and I've come to apologize."
Camila sighed softly, feeling a mixture of helplessness, and relief soon washed over her.
"What did they say?" she asked.
The receptionist waved her hand dismissively. "Nothing of consequence," she replied.
Camila persisted, “Surely they said something. What was it?"
