Chapter: 2165
Words alone couldn't convey the depth of her feelings.
“Am I distracting you from your work?" she asked softly.
Isaac held her close, assuring her, "No."
Camila stood up, announcing, “You should focus on your work and finish as soon as possible. Then we can head home early."
Isaac agreed. "Okay."
Feeling a sense of boredom, Camila contemplated her future, pondering the idea of resigning and staying home to care for their family.
She envisioned herself honing her culinary skills and mastering the art of cooking delicious meals.
"Is the bookstore nearby?" she asked.
Isaac paused in his task and glanced up at Camila, intrigued. “What book are you looking for? I can have my secretary purchase it for you," he offered.
Camila shook her head gently. “I'd prefer to choose them myself.”
“It's not too far," Isaac replied.
Camila extended her hand, requesting the car key.
Isaac retrieved it from a drawer and handed it to her, advising, "Since you're unfamiliar with the route, use the navigation and drive carefully."
“Of course," Camila replied sweetly, accepting the key.
She exited the office and was greeted warmly by everyone she passed.
Camila returned the smile warmly.
Only when she stepped into the elevator did the warmth fade from her expression.
Camila wasn't two-faced.
Socializing with people she knew were talking behind her back was draining for her.
However, since she was the boss' wife, she had to smile and politely return everyone's greeting.
