Chapter: 2166
Upon riding the elevator, she immediately dropped her smile and let out a relieved sigh.

With no one around, she could finally drop the act and relax her expression.

The elevator stopped at the underground parking lot. Camila stepped out and walked toward the aisle. When she pressed the unlock button on the car key, the headlights of Isaac's car flickered, and she walked over.

She hopped in and drove to the nearby bookstore. Upon arriving at the store, she made a beeline to the cooking books section and choose two after browsing through their contents.

Before long, she was back at the company, sitting on the sofa in Isaac's office and reading the books she had just purchased.

From time to time, she would glance at Isaac, who was in the middle of a video meeting with the head office.

Leaning back lazily on the swivel chair in front of the opened laptop on his desk, Isaac would shift expression from time to time when he Listened. One moment he was relaxed, then frowning the next.

Not wanting to disturb him, Camila stayed as silent as possible on the couch.

When she noticed his empty coffee cup, she made another one and quietly put it on his desk.

Isaac looked up at her. She smiled but said nothing, turning around to return to the couch.

She took a sip of juice and resumed reading.

After a while, she felt tired and sleepy. She closed the book and took off her shoes before reclining on the couch.

Isaac picked up the coffee cup and took a sip. When he put it down, he glanced in her direction.

Seeing her asleep on the couch, he showed a faint smile, glad that she could rest.

When he returned his gaze to the laptop screen, his expression became serious again.

Time passed, and it was already one in the afternoon.

Camila had already woken up from her nap and was starting to get restless. Isaac wasn't done with the meeting yet.

Since Glenda wasn't at home, Rowena looked after the kids and would have no time to cook dinner. Camila had to go home to help out.

Walking over to Isaac's desk, she informed in a low voice, "I'm going home without you, okay? I have to prepare dinner."

Isaac shook his head Lightly and called Wynter through the intercom, instructing, "Make a reservation in a nearby restaurant. After that, pick up my kids and my mother-in-law at home and drive them there. Camila and I will join them once I'm finished here."
