He wasn't tired at all.

“Mila," he called her softly.

“\ihat?" she replied, eyes half-open in a sleepy haze.

"Is there something you haven't mentioned?"

Isaac's voice was soft and level.

However, it still sent a shiver down Camila's spine.

Now she was wide awake.

She looked at him.

The room was pitch-black.

His face was hidden by the darkness.

But she could sense him watching her.

Her lips parted but her throat felt parched.

"Don't you know me inside and out?" Camila replied.

Isaac pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her waist and she instinctively pressed against him.

She held her breath for a second.

Her voice was almost a whisper. "Isaac..."

"You went to the hospital today," he murmured in her ear.

Camila froze at that.

Her whole body went rigid.

It took a while but she managed to relax.
