"Are you really rushing off?"

Hilaria asked.

"Yes, I need to hurry," Camila confirmed.

With no one else at home, Rowena struggled to manage the two kids and all the household chores by herself.

She had to return home quickly.

During her drive, Camila instructed Eagle to detour to the hospital to check on Glenda. The doctor mentioned she would be discharged soon.

Glenda appeared to be in a good mood.

This gave Camila some peace of mind.

That evening, she cooked more dishes than usual.

She planned to inform Isaac and Rowena about her resignation during dinner.

But before she could speak up, Isaac said to her, "Mila, there's something I need to tell you."

“What's going on?"

Camila's heart skipped a beat.

Isaac was setting food in her bowl. "I have to go on a business trip. It's going to be a long one."

Camila's eyes narrowed.

“How long will it take?"

“Two weeks," Isaac replied.

"I've asked Alick to get us some help around the house. They'll be here tomorrow."

"Don't sweat it," Camila said.

She glanced from Rowena to Isaac. “I quit my job. I'm ready to focus on the family."
