Chapter: 2196
"I'll interrogate this one," he declared, pointing to a man in a black hoodie slumped against the wall.

The suspect was quickly escorted to the interrogation room.

Morrison then pulled out his phone. "I need to call Laura. Let her know I'm safe."

"Okay!"

Morrison stepped outside to make a phone call. Soon, the call connected.

"Hello."

"It's me. Come to the police station and tell them you're just bringing food," Morrison instructed.

Laura, quick to grasp his meaning, responded, "Okay."

Morrison then made his way to the interrogation room.

During the interrogation, the suspect remained silent. Despite being caught red-handed with contraband goods, he refused to utter a single word. His reluctance to cooperate made him a challenging person to deal with, resistant to any form of communication.

Before long, Laura arrived at the station, carrying food for Morrison.

She was pregnant, and the team made sure to take excellent care of her.

"Hello, Laura. Morrison is questioning someone in room three. You can wait in his office, and I'll let him know you're here," one of the officers offered.

Laura waved off the suggestion, saying, "No, thank you. I'll find my way there. You all have had a long night, and dawn is approaching. I've brought hamburgers and sandwiches. Feel free to have some."

She placed the lunch box on the table, much to the delight of the famished team.

“Thank you, Laura," they responded gratefully.

"I'm off to see Morrison," Laura declared, making her way to the interrogation room.

"Okay!" they called after her.

Laura carried food to the interrogation room and pushed the door open.

Upon entering, the man in the black hoodie looked up sharply, his pupils flickering with surprise.
