Chapter: 2254
The possibility of both mother and child being at risk weighed heavily on him.

He sank onto the bench, releasing a weighty exhale.

In his heart, he silently prayed for Morrison's and Laura's well being.

"It's a tough day for this couple." The policewoman empathized with them.

Colin nodded in agreement. "You're absolutely right about that."

"I never realized Mr. Armstrong and Laura were so close," Colin admitted, taken aback.

Laura's words, expressing her inseparable bond with Morrison, left him speechless.

Colin hadn't anticipated the depth of their connection before.

He couldn't help but admire their genuine affection.

"Please, stay safe," he whispered, a heartfelt plea.

After more than an hour, Laura welcomed a baby girl into the world.

The labor was prolonged.

The newborn was left with several purple bruises.

She was swiftly whisked away for a check-up.

Colin breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness it's a girl."

At least Morrison now had a daughter to cherish.

His initial joy faded quickly.

He still didn't know whether Morrison could make it.

Laura was wheeled out of the ward.

Only the policewoman remained, her smile bright as she shared, "It's a girl."
