Yet, before he could make a move, Camila halted him in his tracks.
"Forget it," she said. "Let Willie handle it. He was involved in the accident too, so it's only fitting that he take charge."
"I'll do it right away," Willie pledged with determination.
"Be quick!" Camila's voice carried a sense of urgency. “Once you pinpoint the general location, inform me immediately."
"Understood," Willie replied with a quick nod.
With that, Camila swept out of the meeting room.
Forrest trailed in her wake like a silent sentinel.
“Let me drive you home," Forrest offered with concern.
Camila glanced back at him.
Her thoughts drifted to Laura's newborn daughter.
He probably still was unaware that he had a daughter now.
Thinking of him and his family, Camila sighed.
"You must be exhausted from all the running around," she observed, her voice gentle with understanding. "Go home and get some rest."
After a moment's hesitation, Camila broached a different topic.
“Forrest, do you like children?"
Camila's unexpected question caught Forrest off guard, leaving him momentarily stunned.
It took him a few moments to gather his thoughts before he responded.
Puzzled, he looked at Camila and asked, "Where did that suddenly come from?"
The timing of Camila's question seemed peculiar, leaving Forrest in a state of bewilderment.
Despite his confusion, he didn't wait for Camila's answer and continued, "Of course I like children." After a brief pause, his tone shifted to a more earnest one as he posed, “But, Mila, do I still have a chance?"
