Chapter: 2282
"What chance?" Camila's puzzled tone mirrored his own confusion.
"The chance to become a father," Forrest clarified, suppressing his exasperation.
Didn't she remember what she had just asked? Her question somewhat left him speechless.
“Just remember to cherish her if you meet a nice lady," Camila advised.
"Ah, I understand," Forrest acknowledged.
If he stumbled upon the right woman, Forrest vowed to cherish her with all his heart.
Forrest smiled and remarked, “That question of yours was quite unexpected."
Camila sighed, her gaze drifting into the distance. "Oh, it was merely a fleeting thought.”
However, Forrest sensed there was more to it than a mere whim. "I heard from Alick that you visited Laura. Has she given birth?" After a momentary pause, he pressed on, “Is it a boy or a girl? Does the little one resemble Laura or the Armstrong fellow?"
“She had a little girl, and she's a spitting image of Laura."
“That's wonderful. Then she'll grow into a lovely young lady instead of a mischievous lad."
Before the conversation could delve deeper, the driver arrived, pulling up with the car.
Camila entered the vehicle, and Forrest joined her.
Because the manor was spacious, they now both lived here.
After a brief journey, the car returned to the manor's grand entrance.
As Camila and Forrest stepped out of the vehicle, they could hear Joe crying.
Camila hastily strode towards the commotion, but her ankle, still recovering, gave a sharp twinge of pain, forcing her to slow her pace.
In the distance, she could see Eagle comforting Joe, cradling the young boy in his arms.
With his tall and robust frame, Eagle stood in stark contrast to Joe's delicate features.
The juxtaposition between the two figures was strange yet oddly heartwarming and harmonious.
