Chapter: 2306
It didn't take long for them to get there.
However, the moment they sat down by the river bank, two men showed up from the bushes.
Jacob's eyes widened at the sight of them.
“So you were really hiding someone?" one of the men asked in a chilly tone.
It seemed all bad guys had the same hideous face no matter which country they were from.
The men's hostile glare and cold grin were terrifying, clearly indicating they were up to no good.
Jacob instantly held his guard up.
Regarding Jacob coldly, one of the two men snorted. "Otherwise, why would you have this in your living quarters?"
He took out a piece of cufflink from his pocket and showed it to Jacob.
It was from Isaac's sleeves.
Jacob and his wife didn't notice the cufflinks had fallen off when they rescued Isaac the other day.
Unfortunately, these men found it.
“This looks expensive," one of them said, curling his lips into a menacing smile.
Glancing at Isaac, he said, "He's from Azmar, isn't he?"
Isaac's eyes narrowed behind the blindfold, his hand clenching around the stick he was holding.
Judging from the tension in the air, he knew the men would attack him at any man.
He would be at disadvantage because he was blindfolded, so he had to be alert and ready.
“How dare you disobey orders, Jacob? It seems that you don't want to live anymore," one of the men sinisterly remarked, advancing toward Jacob with the other man following behind.
Jacob stepped back, still trying to salvage the situation by explaining, "No, that's not my intention. We just rescued this man, and he's been blindfolded the whole time. He hasn't seen anything!"
"You think that'll save you? No!" one of the men growled, waving his baseball bat at Jacob.
