Chapter: 2310
And even though he was in grave danger, Isaac refused to succumb to panic at this crucial moment.
Finally, the coordinates to Isaacs's location were downloaded. “Okay, well, it seems we are not far away," Willie said encouragingly.
Camila felt relief wash over her, allowing herself a moment of respite from the overwhelming worry.
As she prepared to say more to Isaac, the line suddenly went dead.
Clutching the phone tightly to her chest, a sense of dread settled in her stomach as she realized that communication had been cut off because Isaac's phone had run out of power.
Willie directed Forrest to change direction.
"We need to head that way," Willie instructed, showing the location to Forrest.
Forrest glanced at it and replied, “We'll have to drive a few kilometers before we can turn around.”
"Then drive faster," Willie urged, dialing Alick to ask for backup.
As soon as the call connected, Willie wasted no time in explaining the situation, "We're heading there now, but it's going to be dangerous. Gather your men and meet us there. I'll send you the address. Hurry."
Alick responded quickly, “Got it."
After ending the call, he started searching for information about the location online.
The search revealed it was a remote area with no nearby inhabitants.
"Could Mr. Johnston have been kidnapped by local gangsters?" Willie pondered aloud.
Forrest dismissed the idea, saying, "We don't live in ancient times. Dumpson is relatively safe. There shouldn't be any gangsters."
"Considering the location, it seems to be in a mountainous area. The phone Mr. Johnston used to call us belongs to someone else. How did he find these people in the mountains? Do you want to say there are mysterious savages in the mountains who can use modern technological products and kindly provide a mobile phone for Isaac?" Willie wondered aloud.
Growing frustrated with Willie's ironic joke, Forrest realized why Isaac had left him behind and had Alick accompany him.
Oblivious to Forrest's thoughts, Willie reached out and patted him on the shoulder. "Why are you so quiet?"
Forrest remained stoic, gazing ahead resolutely. "I have nothing to say to you."
“Are you not even curious?" Willie prodded.
