Chapter: 2343
“That's precisely why I'm calling you," Isaac replied.
"Ha ha..."
Laughter echoed through the line.
After a moment, the man said, "You've come to the right place. Let's arrange a meeting when you're free."
"I'll host our next meeting," Isaac offered.
"Agreed."
After ending the call, Isaac turned to Forrest. “Now, dial the first number on the second page."
Forrest complied, and the call was quickly connected.
The conversation was private; only Isaac knew what was said.
His expression turned solemn.
"Yes," he responded softly yet distinctly, "Yes, as soon as possible."
The caller acknowledged.
Isaac hung up and instructed Forrest, “Email the map of where you found me to this address."
"WiLL do," Forrest confirmed as he powered up the computer. "Alick will be okay, right?" he asked tentatively.
Isaac remained silent, choosing not to engage.
Realizing his misstep, Forrest muttered, "I misspoke again, didn't I?"
Isaac remarked, "If you're unable to gauge the situation, it's best to remain silent."
Forrest stood in stunned silence.
He said, “Why are you so unkind, Isaac?"
"Would you like to step outside?" Isaac said in a low voice.
