Chapter: 2353
Annis, however, still appeared worried. Pulling Camila by the hand, she said with urgency, “Let's go now.”
Camila let out a groan of pain as her shoulder and arm began to hurt again where Annis pulled her.
"What's the matter?" Annis asked, concern visible on her face.
“My hand is just sore," Camila lied.
Annis loosened her grip on Camila but didn't let go completely. She was in a hurry to see Isaac. Nothing would stop her now.
Occasionally, Annis would urge the driver to drive faster, even though he was pretty much speeding.
"You really should relax," Camila cautioned.
“How can I relax when something bad has happened to Isaac?" Annis retorted.
Camila didn't say anything else.
Annis was right. No one could remain calm in this situation.
Soon, they were at the manor.
“Is this your house?" Annis asked.
"Yes," Camila replied.
"It looks better than your residence at home," Annis observed. She found this place quiet and serene.
Camila nodded, as she too felt the same way.
At the entrance, Brant was engaged in a heated argument with two men.
"We didn't order anything. You're in the wrong place," Brant said, frowning.
"What's going on?" Camila asked, stepping forward.
"These two men claimed to be here to deliver the food materials we ordered. But we didn't order anything.”
As soon as Brant said this, the two men fled, getting into a car and making a quick escape.
