Chapter: 2355
As Camila walked away, she glanced back nervously.
Willie and Forrest hesitated, their eyes meeting as they watched Camila disappear from view.
Without a word, they lifted the box together, carrying it through the halls and out into the open air.
This was just in case the content was really dangerous. They didn't want anyone in the house to be harmed.
They made their way to a quiet road, rarely traveled by anyone.
Pausing to catch their breath, Forrest turned to Willie. "Who's going to open it, you or me?" he asked in a low voice.
Willie looked at the box, then back at Forrest.
"I'll do it," Forrest said, stepping forward to examine the mysterious package.
"I never said you should open it!" Willie stated.
Forrest shrugged. "Then go ahead; open it yourself."
Turning away, Forrest decided to leave.
Of course, his actions were clearly intentional.
But instead of stopping him, Willie suggested, “If it's something dangerous, it could cause a lot of damage. You should probably get away from here."
Forrest said earnestly, "We've been through thick and thin together. How could I just walk away now?"
“But if it's really dangerous and you stay here, won't we both be dead?" Willie countered. "I can handle it alone. It's not worth risking both of us."
Forrest, never one to shy away from danger, was determined.
He couldn't bear to leave Willie alone in harm's way.
After some discussion, both men agreed it wouldn't be right to let the other take the risk alone.
Because they couldn't decide, they played a game of rock-paper-scissors.
Forrest won.
