Chapter: 2390
“I won't let you go," Camila stated firmly.
This time, she refused to listen to complaints from Forrest and promptly shut the door.
But Forrest was not one to be easily restrained. He kept calling out to Camila, making his situation known to everyone in the house.
Joe laughed, covering his mouth.
Rowena was at a loss for words.
“You are all adults. What is this behavior?"
Trying to garner sympathy, Forrest complained, "Mrs. Haynes, Mila deserves to be scolded. Without Isaac here, she does whatever she pleases."
Rowena's brow furrowed. "Is she really so reckless?"
Just as Rowena seemed swayed, Eagle interjected, "Mrs. Johnson wouldn't tie him up without a good reason."
After a moment's thought, Rowena conceded, “You're not children. Mila wouldn't joke about something like this.”
Forrest glared at Eagle. “Must you always have the last word?"
Eagle replied with feigned innocence, “I'm just stating what I observed."
Forrest rolled his eyes in frustration.
Eagle, towering and robust, was trying to act cute — an amusing sight.
"Please, stop. You're going to make me sick," Forrest protested.
Before Eagle could respond, Joe quipped, "Shall I fetch a bucket for you?"
Forrest was left speechless, as Eagle struggled to suppress his laughter.
Holding Bowen, Rowena declared, “Let's leave them to it."
The antics were too much for her, and she was too old for such games.
Her priority was the children, aiming to keep her worries at bay.
