Just when Forrest thought she was going to say something, she walked past him and headed for the door.

Forrest arched an eyebrow. “Why can't you answer?"

Rolling her eyes, Camila turned around and spat, "What do you want me to say?"

Forrest hesitated to ask something too personal directly. After a pause, he asked, "Did Isaac love or like you at the beginning?"

"What do you think?" Camila challenged, curling her lips into a smile.

Forrest fell silent.

After a moment, he asked, "Don't you care about what he truly felt for you?"

“Nope", Camila answered in heartbeat.

Forrest fell silent again.

“You're bluffing," he argued.

Camila regarded him with a raised brow. “Why would 1?"

“I'm confused. If we put into reason what you said earlier about the difference between liking and loving someone, then it meant Isaac only liked you because he lacked restraint."

He paused to gather his thoughts before continuing, “I know you brought this argument up to force me to admit that I love Laura. Because if I were attracted to her, I wouldn't let her go because of my ego. Is that right?"

Camila fell silent, considering his words.

He was right. She brought up the subject to force him to admit his true feelings for Laura.

Looking at her intently, Forrest asked, "I admit I love Laura. Do you think Isaac can say the same about you?"

Forrest's gaze was piercing, yet Camila maintained her calmness, breaking into laughter abruptly. "My only aim is to convince you to leave Laura alone."

“So, what exactly are you implying?" Forrest questioned.

“And what's your interpretation?" Camila challenged.

“To me, it seems pointless," he answered.
