“Laura, why aren't you answering? I've called you so many times. Forrest is flying back today, and he's definitely coming to see you. You need to find a way to avoid him."

Morrison frowned slightly.

“Laura, can you hear me?" Camila pressed.

“Laura is sleeping right now," Morrison replied.

There was a pause on the line. Camila was unsure if she had caused unnecessary trouble, feeling close to a breakdown.

"You don't need to worry. I'm aware of the situation with Forrest, and I'll handle it," Morrison reassured her.

Camila didn't know what to say in response.

Morrison added with a smile, "Laura's phone was on mute, and she didn't hear it. I was going to give it to her, but she's resting, so I didn't want to disturb her."

"It's okay," Camila finally said. From what she had heard, she was aware that Morrison was very attentive to Laura. Her anxiety had gotten the better of her, leading her to speak hastily without even hearing Laura's voice. She realized she had been too impulsive.

“Do you have anything else you want me to tell her, or would you like to call again later?" Morrison asked.

"It's all right. Based on what I know about Forrest, he should go directly to you," replied Camila.

"Understood."

“Have you recovered?" Camila inquired.

"I'm fine now. Actually, I owe you my thanks. I heard from Laura that you were the one who arranged for the doctor to perform my surgery," Morrison expressed his gratitude.

He understood her motivations. Camila's actions were driven by her care for Laura. Her urgent call this time likely stemmed from the same concern, perhaps fearing that Forrest's arrival might disrupt his and Laura's life.
