Chapter: 2424
Though Morrison was generous, Forrest knew that he couldn't take the baby away. She was too young now and wouldn't remember anything, but if Forrest visited when she was older, it could complicate things.
How would he explain who he was? It would not only cause problems for Laura and Morrison but would also confuse the child.
Holding his daughter, Forrest's eyes appeared slightly red.
Morrison continued, “When Laura gave birth, it was tough. She was in danger and needed a Caesarean."
Morrison learned from Colin that Laura had gone into premature labor after hearing about his condition.
At that time, Morrison was in the operating room, uncertain of his own survival.
Laura had said if he died, she wouldn't want to live either. She hadn't even wanted the baby then.
Hearing this had moved Morrison deeply and broke his heart. Such a wonderful person she was! How could Forrest not cherish her?
Yet, it was fortunate for Morrison that Forrest hadn't cherished her, or Morrison wouldn't have had a chance with her.
“She is very cute," Forrest murmured, his voice hoarse, as he lowered his head to look at his daughter.
"Yes!" Morrison was looking at Honey too.
She would grow in a mini version of Laura.
Laura always valued love and righteousness. She wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice herself for those she loved.
Her unwavering devotion was truly admirable.
How could he not adore her?
Forrest let out a defeated sigh. "You're definitely luckier than I am", he conceded.
Morrison didn't deny it.
Forrest handed the child back to Morrison.
He knew he couldn't take the child, no matter how much he wanted to.
He pulled out a card.
