Chapter: 2469
Forrest raised an eyebrow. “Don't return unless it's necessary."
Brewster looked at Forrest with a hint of defiance in his eyes.
Without another word, he turned and walked away.
Forrest watched him leave.
If Brewster's parents hadn't saved Isaac, he wouldn't have assisted the boy.
He wasn't that generous.
The boy was clearly defiant!
Forrest then walked into the house.
Perhaps because the house was modest in size, as soon as he entered the living room, Forrest heard Joe complaining, “Mom, by spending time with me, do you mean nothing but learning Languages and reciting poems?"
"Or what? If you can't speak the local language, how can you survive here?"
“Then why must I recite ancient poems?" Joe replied, his tone defiant.
“That's part of our heritage. Growing up without knowing ancient poems isn't right," Camila responded.
Forrest couldn't bear it any longer. He strode up to the door, pushing it open, and leaned against the frame. "Joe is still a child. Why do you insist on pressuring him?"
"One must start learning from a young age. By the time Joe reaches your age, it will be too late," Camila said.
Forrest was momentarily speechless.
“How can you say that, Camila? You've deeply hurt me." It was the first time Forrest had witnessed such impatience on Camila's usually serene face.
"Even Isaac wouldn't dare to interfere when I educate my children."
Once again, Forrest found himself at a loss for words.
He recalled how, during his childhood, his mother compelled him to study.
Any attempt by his father to intervene would result in his mother scolding him as well!
