Chapter: 2479
With that, Camila terminated the call, sinking into the sofa with a mixture of amusement and bemusement.

Was Forrest's way of coping with heartbreak to engage in casual flings?

Her thoughts were interrupted by Bowen tugging at her hair. Smiling, Camila turned her attention to him.

Bowen was toddling around more confidently now, a big change from his earlier clumsy steps.

"You're amazing, Bowen," Camila whispered, enveloping her son in a warm embrace and planting a tender kiss on his cheek.

Just then, Joe wandered into the living room, having just finished his meal. He paused, observing the tender moment between mother and son. In his eyes, Bowen was lucky now, blissfully unaware of the future pressures of education that awaited him.

Joe yawned and slumped onto the sofa, looking worn out.

Camila glanced at him. “Feeling worn out from all that eating?"

“I'm tired from practicing math problems," he complained.

“Did you get them all correct?" Camila inquired.

“They're not difficult. Why wouldn't I get them right?" Joe replied, his voice tinged with a hint of pride.

Impressed by his confidence, Camila decided to put his skills to the test. "Can you solve 2 times 4?" she challenged.

Without a moment's hesitation, Joe confidently replied, His swift and accurate response prompted Camila to up the ante. "What is 4 squared?"

"16," Joe responded promptly and correctly.

Camila nodded approvingly, pleased with his proficiency.

She had carefully crafted a series of mathematical exercises for Joe, tailored to transition smoothly from simple calculations to more challenging problems.

“Keep up the good work. Since you're doing so well, I'll give you a break from homework tonight," Camila announced.

Joe's excitement was palpable as he leaped up in jubilation. “Really? That's fantastic!"

Witnessing his joy, Camila couldn't help but smile, too.

As the evening wound down, Camila tucked Bowen into his bed for the night while Joe, growing more independent by the day, prepared for bed on his own.
