Chapter: 2530
Isaac regarded him impassively, unable to discern whether Brewster acted on someone else's instructions or out of pure greed.

Ultimately, Isaac's tolerance for avarice was limited. "Tell me, how much?" he demanded tersely, eager to resolve the matter swiftly.

"Fifteen million," Brewster stated boldly, his demand staggering both Isaac and Forrest.

Although Isaac could afford the amount, the audacity of a teenage boy asking for such a large sum was alarming.

Isaac's suspicion grew that someone might be manipulating Brewster.

“Why do you need that much money?" Forrest interjected, his incredulity evident.

But Brewster brushed off the question, retorting, “That's none of your concern. Trading two lives for fifteen million isn't excessive, is it?"

"It's still a significant sum," Forrest countered. "The value of ordinary lives isn't usually so high."

Anger simmered in Brewster's tone. “My parents died because of him. Shouldn't he compensate me?" he demanded.

"Some compensation, perhaps. But fifteen million is excessive,"

Forrest reasoned.

Brewster fell silent for a moment before relenting, "A bit less would suffice."

With a furrowed brow, Forrest proposed, "One million and five hundred thousand."

Turning on his heel, Brewster said before storming off, “I'm not done with you."

Once Brewster was out of earshot, Forrest leaned towards Isaac, his voice low. "Do you think someone is manipulating him?"

Isaac was uncertain.

Having never interacted with Brewster, he was unfamiliar with his temperament.

He couldn't say for sure whether this boy was manipulated or not.

“Send someone to watch him, find out who he's in contact with. Make sure he isn't being exploited. Then, we can offer him some money,"

Isaac instructed.
