Too many compliments seemed to make Forrest rather boastful.

After several hours in the air, the plane touched down.

Alick and Annis were there to greet them personally.

Camila, Isaac, their two kids, Forrest, his daughter, and Glenda, made a pretty big group.

Their journey would have been far more challenging without Isaac's private plane.

Although Alick was nearly recovered from his injuries, he still walked with a slight limp.

His recovery was ongoing, requiring him to rest well.

Nevertheless, he was steadily getting better.

Upon arrival, Annis scooped Bowen into her arms. She then cast a curious glance at Forrest, who was also cradling a baby.

"What? You and Alick are getting married. Isn't it normal for me to have a child?" Forrest teased.

“It's normal, very normal," Annis responded with a smile.

Although curious, she refrained from asking about the baby's mother.

Forrest was there alone with the baby. Annis thought he would have brought the child's mother along if he were married.

This led her to suspect that the baby might have been conceived by accident after he was drunk and had fun with some girl in the bar.

"My daughter was given birth to by someone I deeply love, not an accident when I was dealing with my physical needs with some other girl casually. Don't overthink it," Forrest remarked, seemingly picking up on Annis' unspoken thoughts.

Blinking her large eyes, Annis inquired, “Then, where is her mother?"

A hush fell over the group.

Most of them were privy to the past drama between Forrest and Laura.

Forrest found himself at a loss for words.

"My child is born out of love, rest assured," he asserted.
