Chapter: 2557
"It's alright," Camila interrupted gently. She considered Glenda practically family and didn't care about such formalities.

Glenda finally agreed.

The banquet was a culinary masterpiece. Fresh, exotic ingredients transformed into delectable dishes that tantalized the taste buds.

Glenda took care of Joe, who savored the delicious food with delight.

He ate happily, while Glenda only managed a few bites. The occasion left little time for her to eat, and there was a toast coming up soon.

Camila needed to be present as she was close to the bride and groom.

Bowen, however, proved to be a handful in such a formal setting.

Once Glenda finished her meal, she excused herself to check on Camila.

It wasn't until the bride and groom's toast that Isaac finally reappeared. He wasn't alone, though, and Camila held back from approaching him.

While the focus of the day was rightfully on Alick and Annis, Camila had been here for nearly a day as well.

Later that evening, there would be celebratory games.

Camila, however, was preoccupied with her two children.

"Actually, I should head back too!" Forrest suddenly remembered his daughter and felt it was unwise to stay out late.

He wanted to be home to take care of her.

"I can watch her," Camila offered.

Forrest shook his head. "No, I wouldn't want to put Alick in a difficult position if I got carried away."

Camila found herself momentarily speechless.

Here was Forrest, prioritizing his fatherly duties over revelry.

"Let's go then. Get in the car," Forrest said, getting in the car first.

Camila entrusted Joe to Forrest's care, needing to wait for Isaac's return.
