It wasn't his choice.

Originally, today was supposed to be for just him and Annis.

But Annis complained that it was too boring.

She wanted to find Camila at her residence and take her and Joe out for fun.

However, when they arrived at the residence, there was no sign of them.

Isaac asked, “Shouldn't you be occupied with other things today?"

Alick didn't know how to answer.

It was true. He shouldn't have been free today. He was a newlywed man. He should have been spending some time alone with his wife.

Alick turned at Annis beside him and sighed helplessly.

He would have loved to do exactly just that, but what else could he do if his wife just wanted to have fun, and apparently, his company wasn't fun enough?

He smiled and said, "I'm free today."

Isaac gave him an address and said, "Go here. I happen to have something to tell you."

“Okay. We'll go straight there," Alick answered cheerfully.

As soon as he put down the phone, Annis couldn't wait to ask, “Where are they? Why aren't they home?"

He turned to look at her and asked, "Do they have to wait for you here?"

Annis smiled sheepishly. She didn't mean for it to sound like that.

Alick told her where the others were.

His answer made Annis frown.

"What are they doing all the way out there in the wild?" she asked in confusion. “I've been there a long time ago. There's nothing to see. There's just one big lake and trees. There isn't anything to do. Why would they take the kids to such a boring place?"

She couldn't understand why they would want to go there.
