Chapter: 3906
Jeslyn stood near the staircase, dressed in a white gown. Her black hair framed her face, accentuating her exceptional beauty.
Jeslyn gazed eagerly at Jessie, her hand resting on the handrail.
The expression on Jeslyn's face made Jessie feel as though she had wronged her in some way.
However, that was not the case.
Jeslyn had been quite fierce previously, even more so than Kiana.
Jeslyn went downstairs slowly.
"No, stay there," Jessie implored, her voice slightly strained. She composed herself and attempted to explain, "I've returned the money to your father. I'm no longer your teacher."
Jeslyn remained motionless, her expression devoid of emotion. "I know nobody likes me. Dad's always busy with meetings and work. Only the servants stay with me."
Slowly, Jeslyn ascended the stairs, remarking, "I don't want to eat if there's no class."
Albert remained silent.
Jessie was once again taken aback.
Elsie hurried downstairs and pleaded, "Miss Green, please stay and continue teaching Miss Jeslyn. She's been preparing for this all afternoon and waiting eagerly for your arrival. She'll be so disappointed if you don't teach her."
Jessie responded stiffly, “That's not my concern."
Albert remarked casually, "You're correct. My daughter's well-being has no bearing on you. You don't need to worry about her. Your career success is inconsequential as well. After all, you're destined to be a doctor's wife."
Jessie bit her lip and retorted, "Don't provoke me."
Recognizing it as a trap, she refused to be manipulated and departed without glancing back.
Exiting the hall and the villa, she vowed never to contact Albert again, completely disregarding the past.
She believed that she might need to adopt the same level of detachment that Albert seemed to possess.
In the living room, Elsie anxiously turned to Albert as she observed Jessie's departure. "Mr. Waston, what should we do?"
Albert casually picked up the newspaper and resumed reading.
