After school, they would eagerly return home, drop their schoolbags, and rush upstairs to see little Cordelia. Occasionally, when the baby girl was awake, she would wiggle her limbs and offer a smile to Evelyn and Daniel. However, most of the time, little Cordelia was peacefully asleep.

Her face looked tender as she lay in her pink crib, sleeping soundly.

Her peaceful slumber indicated her contentment.

Despite her concerns for Waylen's condition, Alexis was still weak from giving birth to the baby girl and couldn't venture out and visit her father often. Most of the time, it was Leonel who took the two kids to visit Waylen. Whenever Leonel prepared something for Waylen in the kitchen, the aroma of the soup would waft through the house, even reaching Alexis in her room.

One day, as Leonel busied himself in the kitchen preparing delicacies, the servant entered with a smile, remarking, "The entire house is filled with the aroma! Mr. Douglas is stewing soup in the kitchen. He plans to send some to Mr. Fowler later. I must say, Mr. Douglas treats Mr. Fowler very well."
