Leonel said this with his lips so close to the lips of Alexis that his hot breath penetrated deep into her limbs and bones, making her shiver and go numb all at once.

Alexis felt they were in a position that was too intimate, so she turned her face away and said stiffly, "I haven't finished my soup yet."

Leonel didn't say anything. He just continued to stare at her.

But after a while, he leaned forward to taste the soup on her Lips.

"The soup is a little light, but it's very suitable for you," he said in a low tone.

After saying this, he swept his gaze over her chest. His true intentions were clearly written in his eyes. When men and women went back and forth like this, the aim was not necessarily to ensure clarity but to invoke emotions.

Alexis couldn't help but blush and push his face away when he licked the soup on her lips.

Then she resumed eating. Because of her good manners which she had adopted since childhood, she always remained dignified and well-mannered even when she had to eat on bed.

Leonel, as always, was enamored with her, and he continued to stare at her for a long time.

The next day, Leonel promptly took Alexis and the kids back to the Fowler residence.

This was the first time since the incident in Merblune that Leonel walked in through the front door of the mansion.

Even till now, everyone in the Fowler family was feeling emotional.

As for the domestic staff, they knew that Leonel had saved Waylen.

Hence, his status in the family was not the same as before, but they also knew that he hadn't remarried Alexis. Hence, they felt uneasy when they saw him. They didn't know exactly how to properly address or respond to him.

But Leonel didn't seem to mind.

Opening the door of the car, he brought out the two children.

Immediately, Evelyn and Daniel ran in to see their grandfather.

Leonel looked at their retreating figures for a moment. Then he turned to Alexis and said, “Daniel seems to have grown taller lately. In fact, he's almost as tall as Evelyn."

As he spoke, he took her hand and helped her out of the car.
