Chapter: 4353
Rena gently soothed his furrowed brow, offering silent comfort.
The following day, Olivia's flight touched down at Duefron Airport.
She had traveled solo for business but came back with companions.
Dylan accompanied her back from Alsilia. It appeared he intended to shift focus to domestic affairs. As they stepped off the plane, Olivia grabbed her bags and said to Dylan, “Gotta go. Still have some work to handle. Let's catch up for dinner another time, okay?"
They shared a long-standing friendship, spanning many years.
Dylan playfully patted her head, grinning. “Don't stand me up again like you used to."
Olivia was stunned.
She recalled Dylan's words from her school days. Back then, she was close to him but often prioritized Raphael's company over his. Dylan traveled abroad with his parents for business and occasionally returned to Duefron. However, she often left Dylan waiting as she chased after Raphael. But now...
“What a coincidence! Running into each other again!"
A familiar voice broke through Olivia's thoughts. Her body tensed as she turned to see Raphael with Sharon, returning from their trip.
Sharon was pushing the luggage, but they walked closely together, sharing an intimate bond.
Olivia felt a surge of sadness wash over her.
Raphael's gaze lingered on them, particularly on Dylan's face, before he sneered. "Still with him after all these years, Olivia? Loyalty suits you."
What a jerk!
Dylan was itching for a confrontation, but Olivia restrained him. She met Raphael's gaze calmly and retorted, "You talk about loyalty, Raphael? After all this time, you're still with her! Let's not waste each other's time. We have things to do and need to go."
Raphael's gaze darkened.
He echoed her words with a sneer. “Waste each other's time?"
Olivia met his gaze with determination. “Yes, it's a waste of time."
Her voice was firm, but tears welled up in her eyes as she turned away.
"Dylan, let's go!"
