Chapter: 4717
Then the rain started again...
It soaked the expensive car and drenched Dylan's suit, though he appeared unconcerned. He lingered for a moment before getting into his car and discreetly following Olivia's vehicle.
He always followed until her car entered the private driveway of the Evans estate.
The evening weather worsened.
The forecast predicted a severe storm hitting Duefron... By nine- thirty, every resident had been alerted by the local authorities to stay in.
Olivia sat silently in the back seat.
Checking his phone, the driver exclaimed, “Oh my, we need to get back fast, Miss Evans. The tornado's changed course and is heading right for us. This is terrible news!"
Upon hearing his words, Olivia snapped back to reality and peered out the window.
They had already exited the downtown area, so they were close to the Evans mansion.
The driver reassured Olivia of her safety inside the vehicle.
"This vehicle is sturdier than other models. It's built from high-quality materials making it exceptionally durable, even in severe weather! It's also a limited edition luxury model. Only a select few, like Mr. Evans, get the chance to purchase such a vehicle. He bought this one especially for you, knowing you're pregnant. We need to keep you safe at all times!"
The driver talked a lot, but he drove very carefully.
He smoothly turned into the private lane...
Suddenly, the sky darkened ominously.
The wind roared past, causing the small trees lining the road to bend dangerously as if they might uproot at any moment. The driver murmured, "Once we're through this lane, we'll reach our destination. This wind is incredibly strong. I'm afraid Mr. Evans and the others are stuck at the event."
As soon as he finished his words, something banged on the roof of the car.
It seemed something had fallen from above. They were meant to keep moving, but a tree blocked their path ahead... Then, suddenly, the vehicle tipped over.
Luckily, the driver managed to stabilize the vehicle quickly. But he was wedged between the steering wheel and the airbag, feeling sharp pain in his thigh. He realized his leg must be broken!
Despite his pain, he urgently inquired, “Are you okay, Miss Evans? I think my thigh is broken; I can't move it at all..."
Meanwhile, Olivia felt disoriented from the crash.
She sensed something trickling down her legs... But when she looked over, she saw that the driver's situation was far worse; his lower half was soaked in blood, and his injuries clearly more severe than hers.
Olivia softly reassured the driver.
However... her heart raced with fear.
She fumbled for her phone, attempting to make a call, but found no signal.
