Chapter: 4730
Given their shared circles in the business world, Dylan had caught wind of the rumors surrounding Raphael and his assistant.
He was genuinely taken aback by the gossip; especially since, when he was seriously considering Olivia would be better off with Raphael, it turned out Raphael was allegedly involved with someone else. Dylan recalled he had encountered this woman at a social event once and, although she was young and appealing, he didn't find her comparable to Olivia.
Olivia had always carried a grace that was nurtured from a young age by her family.
After posing his question, Dylan braced himself for silence, accustomed to Olivia's usual indifference.
To his surprise, Olivia engaged.
“Yes, they had a disagreement. But I suspect they'll end up married regardless."
She could sense that Elissa genuinely loved Raphael, and she believed Raphael reciprocated those feelings to some degree. Moreover, with a child in the picture, Olivia doubted they would separate hastily.
As she spoke, her calm demeanor contrasted with her current vulnerability, enhancing her allure in Dylan's eyes.
He felt a strong urge to embrace her but restrained himself, mindful of their strained relationship.
After a pause, Dylan ventured further, his voice soft. "What about us, Olivia? Do you think there's a chance we could reconcile?"
The air between them had lightened since their last encounter.
Olivia remained quiet, focusing on her soup. After a few moments, she looked up and asked, “What do you want, Dylan?"
His response lingered in silence, before he managed a faint smile.
What more could he possibly want now?
Being able to share this simple moment with her already felt Like enough for now.
While Olivia continued with her meal, Dylan settled onto the sofa and pulled out his phone to check on his business commitments. Despite a backlog of work from his trip to Czanch and a demanding schedule, he chose to stay by Olivia's side, content for the moment to just be near her.
Dylan was more than willing to make any sacrifice to be near Olivia even if it meant sleeping on the floor.
After finishing half of her soup, Olivia whispered softly, "Dylan, I think we can co-parent the children. You're welcome to visit Leyla and the baby girl I'm carrying now. If you'd like, you could even take them to your place on weekends.”
Dylan was taken aback by her suggestion.
After a pause, he looked at Olivia incredulously, “Olivia, are you suggesting this because I helped you the other night? I didn't do that with any expectations."
“If you're not comfortable visiting the kids, I won't insist," Olivia replied coolly.
"No, I'd love to see them from time to time!"
Dylan's voice was hoarse with emotion as he fixed his gaze on Olivia.
He understood the significance of her offer-it wasn't easy for her, especially after her previous insistence on cutting ties and keeping him away from the children.
