She instructed a servant, "Please ask Elva to come downstairs. We need to speak with her."

The servant quickly went to fetch Elva.

After some time, Elva descended the stairs. Dressed in a lovely Light purplish pink silk gown that accentuated her height, she appeared absolutely breathtaking.

Rena always thought although her two daughters were both beautiful, Alexis' beauty was actually more aggressive, yet Elva was more bright and elegant.

Elva, yawning, inquired, “Dad, Mom, what is happening?"

Rena softly responded after a brief pause, “Luis is here to propose to you. What are your thoughts? Have you two spoken about this beforehand?"

Elva was clearly taken aback.

She then moved to the sofa and seated herself, murmuring, "I haven't agreed to anything yet!"

Understanding her stance, Rena directed the servant, “Inform the Mendez family that Elva isn't here and ask them to visit us another time. Also, please convey my apologies to them."

Upon hearing Rena, the servant promptly followed her instructions.

Luckily, the Mendez family were quite understanding. They had arrived unexpectedly, and the Fowlers were unprepared. Moreover, they indeed didn't provide Elva much time to consider their proposal.

No respectable girl would accept such a sudden proposal.

Everett and Joann exchanged glances, recognizing the situation.

However, Everett expressed his frustration towards his son with a sneer. "If you hadn't made such a mess, why would she reject you? You've been with her for so long yet never introduced her to us. You even betrayed her. She has every right to be angry. It makes perfect sense for her to turn you down now."

With that, Luis shut the car door.

Unusually, he didn't argue back this time. Instead, he gazed at the villa ahead.

He had visited this place when he was a child, attending parties hosted by the Fowler family with his mother. Back then, Elva was just a little girl, and the most admired young lady of the Fowler family back then was actually her sister Alexis. At that time, Elva was always tagging along with Alexis.
