Holley's heart sank when she heard this.

She glared at Luis in fury. This man didn't even want to please her in any way! It seemed he only cared about Elva now. What did she mean to him then? A plaything or a substitute?

Holley took a step back from him. Without taking the check, she opened the door and dashed out of the room.

When Cassidy saw her storming off, she went in to meet Luis. "Mr. Mendez, is everything alright?" she asked in concern.

But Luis responded with an instruction, "Ask the PR department to stay alert from this moment on. In the worst case scenario, I'd have to resign as executive president of Mendez Group."

Cassidy was shocked to hear this. She felt Luis might be overrating Holley.

But just then, Luis' phone began to vibrate.

It was a message from Holley. It stated that if Luis refused her request, she would release their chats to the public, including intimate conversations they had when Luis was still seeing Elva.

"Luis, I believe you will make the right decision," she wrote in conclusion.

Luis stared at the text for a very long time.

Eventually, he deleted the message and blocked Holley.

Throughout the entire process, he looked calm and unperturbed.

After settling his affairs, Luis left the office.

He climbed into the driver's seat and paused in thought before starting the engine.

Since Elva and he spent last night together, he was aware she had work scheduled today... It was a commercial for skincare products.

They were shooting it downtown.

Unlike others in her field, Elva wasn't overly ambitious, which kept her schedule relatively light. Luis preferred not to meddle in her career decisions. It was her call, after all.

Thirty minutes later, he arrived at the studio.

Elva had just wrapped up and was sitting at a vanity table, draped in a bathrobe, beginning to remove her makeup. Surprised by his presence, Elva gave him a soft smile and asked, “Why are you here?"

Luis pulled up a chair beside her, gazing intently at her. "I missed you," he confessed. "So I decided to come and pick you up. Would you like to grab dinner out, or should we head home to eat?"
