Chapter: 1574
Before she could say something more, Holden pulled her back into his embrace, swallowing her words as his lips met hers again.

Present in the room, Melon's eyes widened as he observed the two adults caught in a kiss once again. Swiftly, he turned to shield Adele's innocent eyes from the scene, a gasp escaping his lips.

“Adele, you can't Look! They're doing something embarrassing."

Adele, tilting her head inquisitively, blinked her doe eyes and obediently nodded in response.

Melon rushed to close all the curtains, ensuring the privacy of the unfolding scene. Once settled back on the bed with Adele, he wore a contemplative expression, speaking as if he were an adult. "Well, it looks Like your dad is one of my mom's suitors."

After a pause, he continued, “Gosh, it's so frustrating. My mom's got a whole bunch of suitors. I mean, who is she supposed to pick? Tyler is nice, but Mr. Chadwick is better than him. I also like Mr. Chadwick very much. He's good at taking care of mom and me. But Mr. Mask has you, and I am very happy when I'm with him. But I can only have one dad. Who should I choose?"

With his gaze fixed on the scatter of toys on the bed, Melon muttered to himself as he mulled over this dilemma. Adele, holding a small biscuit, observed Melon. Melon's monologue continued, and Adele, unable to decipher his musings, simply stuffed the biscuit into Melon's mouth, silencing him momentarily.

As Melon munched on the biscuit, he mumbled incomprehensibly to Adele, “Hey, why not just let your dad go after my mom? I'm cool with that!

That way, we can play together every day."

Adele, not entirely grasping an understanding of what he was saying, nodded in a dazed manner.

However, a sudden realization struck Melon right after his statement.

He deflated like a punctured balloon, emitting a long sigh. “But what about your mom? She's so fierce; she'll definitely stick her nose in and cause trouble for us."

Adele, witnessing Melon's despondency, gently patted his head and handed over all the biscuits she held to cheer him up.

Melon said, "Let's not worry about that too much. It's something for the grown-ups to handle." Noticing Adele's attempt to lift his spirits, he shared the biscuits with her. "Let's eat them together then."

The following morning dawned early, and the tranquility of the villa was interrupted by the ring of the doorbell. Ariana, still in a groggy state, hadn't fully awakened. She pushed aside the covers and patted Holden, signaling for Holden to go answer the door. Then, she rolled over, pulled the blanket over her head, and promptly went back to sleep.

Holden, who had spent the night on the sofa, dutifully rose without complaint to open the door. Standing outside was Shawn.

In a swift exchange, Shawn presented Holden with a new suit for him to wear and handed over the list of schedules.

Holden, accepting the items with a curt nod, said, "Alright, you can wait for me in the car."

Shawn nodded and left without asking any further questions.

Holden then returned to the villa to freshen up and change into his newly acquired attire. When he returned, he observed Ariana, who was still asleep. A tender smile graced his lips as he leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on her forehead. Straightening up, he happened to catch a mischievous glimpse of Melon, sneakily peeking at him from the staircase.
