However, Devin didn't seem to be giving up anytime soon, and with Devin's non-stop inquiries, Adrian had to tell Devin why he came back.

"I came back for Jennifer. I had an argument with her. She got angry and came to Eleymond. And I came back because I want to make amends to her."

“What did you have a fight for?" Devin's curiosity grew even more.

Adrian sighed loudly, and his head drooped down as memories of him quarreling with Jennifer came back to him. "I went to a nightclub, and she caught me there."

"You... How could you..." Devin looked at him with disbelief. He wanted to say something but stopped on a second thought. He sighed and said, “How come you haven't changed a bit after all these years? No wonder Miss Austin came back to Eleymond out of anger. You haven't been able to control yourself even after you got married. What woman could endure your behavior and stay with you? You deserve it."

Adrian felt wronged and defended himself, saying, "This time was different from before. I haven't been to a nightclub for so long. That night, I went there because it was a co-operator's birthday, and I'm friends with him. I had to go. I swear I didn't do anything at the nightclub. I wanted to go back home earlier, but I didn't expect to be caught by Jennifer."

Adrian looked aggrieved. After explaining the situation, he said in a low voice, “Anyway... I won't divorce her. As long as she is willing to go back with me, I'm willing to do anything."

Devin looked at him and didn't know what to say. He just shook his head and sighed. "Well, I wish you all the best."

In the evening, Holden and Adrian were drinking and chatting on the terrace.

Although Adrian couldn't get in touch with Holden in the past few years, he had heard a lot about Holden. He couldn't help teasing Holden, "Well, when Sadie came to you with your illegitimate daughter, the whole upper-class circle was stirred up. I heard about it even from Allemicano."

Adrian kept asking Holden about his personal life, so Holden had to briefly talk about Sadie. He also told Adrian that he had just gotten back together with Ariana and still couldn't remember anything from before.

He only said that he hadn't been able to figure out how to face Ariana, which was why he hadn't been able to tell Ariana the truth.

I didn't even know about Sadie's existence. You're so good at hiding her and your illegitimate daughter. Can you teach a few tricks?"

Realizing Adrian was just teasing, Holden punched him lightly and arched an eyebrow. "Thinking of starting a scandal?"

"Absolutely not," Adrian replied quickly, waving his hand dismissively.

Jennifer had caught another woman sitting on Adrian's lap. Before Adrian could push the woman away, Jennifer had exploded in anger.

They had had a fierce argument, and Jennifer had been so furious that she had threatened to divorce Adrian.
