Adrian was now filled with regret. He wouldn't dare step out of line again.

Holden then said, "It seems you're also unaware of Sadie's existence. If you're really my friend, how could you not know about her?"

"Well, you can't deny our strong bond. Our friendship is one of a kind," Adrian responded quickly.

Seeing Holden's frown, he added, "Maybe you had your reasons for not telling me about Sadie. But even without knowing her, our friendship stands strong."

Looking at Adrian, Holden was at a loss for words. He just kept drinking, feeling that something was amiss.

Despite everything, how was it possible that nobody, including Adrian and Devin, had known about Sadie before?

The BRD Group's intelligence was always top-notch, and even Holden wasn't sure he could keep someone hidden from it so effectively.

At that moment, Adrian started to gossip again. "Wasn't there a girl back then who was crazy about you? She always followed you around, calling you by that name, Theodore, right?"

Adrian cleared his throat and mockingly called out, "Theodore! Theodore!"

Holden found himself feeling resigned. What kind of friends had he made in the past? He quickly cut Adrian off, "Stop, or I'm going to be sick."

Adrian grinned, unabashed.

Holden frowned and questioned, "Who was this girl?"

Adrian stopped smiling and said with a serious tone, "Helen Clarke. She was there when the car accident happened five years ago. After that, I lost track of her and haven't heard anything since. Aldus even tried to find her, but they were more focused on you back then. So I think they stopped looking."

"What does she look like?" Holden asked.

Adrian paused, considering for a moment before he described her.

Holden, listening, realized he didn't recall anyone Like that. It had been so long; perhaps she had passed away. He wasn't sure what had happened to her or why she had suddenly vanished.

But Holden wasn't concerned about someone he considered insignificant.

Adrian continued, “It's sad, really. But Helen's fate is her own doing. She is malicious and wicked. If she had just kept out of trouble, she wouldn't be in that mess. She suffers from a congenital heart disease, yet there's a cure for it."

"She has a congenital heart disease?" Holden arched an eyebrow.

Adrian nodded. "Yes, and you spent a lot of effort on her treatment."
