Chapter: 1671
Upon hearing Adrian's words, Holden furrowed his brow, and he began to harbor doubts.

Helen had congenital heart disease. It was a striking coincidence, as Sadie also suffered from the same condition.

One had vanished suddenly, while the other appeared just as abruptly.

This made Holden feel that something was amiss.

He turned to Adrian and asked, "What kind of person is Helen?"

Adrian paused to reflect before responding, "As far as I know, she is a fearless woman capable of any deed. Her stubbornness is such that ordinary people find it incomprehensible."

He recounted several past incidents about Helen to Holden. He remembered how Helen had once disfigured herself trying to implicate Ariana and had feigned a failure to recover from her heart disease.

The more Holden pondered Adrian's accounts, the stronger his suspicion grew. He decided it was necessary to initiate an investigation about Helen now.

Meanwhile, at the location of the love-variety show, the shooting proceeded uninterrupted. The guests were enjoying coffee and engaging in conversation in the garden.

Just then, Jennifer felt her phone vibrate. She glanced at the caller ID, which caused her expression to darken. She discreetly went to the bathroom where there were no cameras to answer the call.

The call was from her driver, Jacoby Wallace. He had previously facilitated communication between her and Adrian. Therefore, when Jacoby called, Jennifer immediately suspected Adrian was involved.

“What's the matter?" she asked coldly.

Jacoby responded, "Miss Austin, Mr. Perkins has purchased many of your favorite dolls. However, the password to your home has been changed. Could you provide the new password? I'll place the dolls inside for you."

Jennifer was not a good-tempered woman. Recalling Adrian's past behavior, she exploded in anger. “I don't need it! Adrian should stay away from my home! He enjoys his drinks and flirts with young girls; let him entertain them instead!"

After her outburst, Jennifer ended the call, her anger tinged with sadness.

From the beginning, she understood that her marriage to Adrian was purely a business arrangement, a strategic alliance between families.

She had cautioned herself against falling for a known playboy.

Yet, despite knowing his libertine ways in nightclubs and bars, she had fallen hard for him.

Now, she realized it was a self-deceptive folly. It was a tragic error from the start.

Holding back tears, Jennifer quickly fixed her makeup to mask her sorrow.
